Dragon of the Lost Sea
Dragon Steel
Dragon Cauldron
Dragon War
I read Dragon of the Lost Sea several times growing up, yet never really realized that it was part of a series until a couple of years ago. I love the book, and I was far from disappointed with the series. The only thing that slightly bothered me is the last two books are written in the point of view of another character. The switch up was a bit hard to get used to.
Anyway the books are about a dragon princess on a quest to restore her home, and all the companions she meets and adventures they have in the process. They are cute and fun, and I am looking forward to reading them to my daughter.

Hitchhiker's Series - Douglass Adams
January 21st 2012 - June 14th, 2012
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
The Restaurant at the End of the Universe
Life, The Universe and Everything
So Long, and Thanks For All The Fish
Mostly Harmless
Well these five little books took me way too long to read. Been a bit busy dealing with things, and I have to say, the books aren't always so easy to follow.
They are interesting and can be funny, but I don't think I would recommend reading them all back to back. They begin to run together and ramble on. The pauses that talk about seemingly complete randomness also make it hard to follow.
Still a good read, and I do recommend that everyone read it at some point.

Memoirs Of A Geisha - Arthur Golden
December 28th 2011 - January 21st 2012
Took me longer than expected to read this book. No particular reason other than not reading as often as I wanted.
But the book was very good. Interesting to read about the life of a geisha, to learn how that culture works. I am not usually a fan of love stories, which is part of the theme in this book, but this was different than expected. It wasn't over the top perverseness. As cheesy as it sounds, the story draws you in and you want to see the main character accomplish her goals.
I would recommend this book, but not to everyone. Its more suited for someone with an interest in the Japanese culture, and wants to learn what it truly means to be a geisha. Also more suited for someone who likes love stories, and isn't looking for a fantastical imagination trip with grand adventure in made up worlds.
On another note, I had to watch the movie again right after I finished the book... Had to see just how different it was. As per the norm, a lot was changed and the book is better. The movie is great, but the book gives so much more detail and explains so much more. But yeah, I really enjoyed the book, glad I finally read it.

Fahrenheit 451 - Ray Bradbury
I once turned my nose up at this book, because I thought it was all about a society burning books. But then I came across the movie on Netflix, and was overcome with a morbid curiosity. Wasn't all bad, and made me realize I should give the book an honest chance.
The book isn't just about a society that bans and burns books. But mostly about one of the firemen and how he began to think about how things were wrong, and how he wanted to change.
December 16th - 28th
This book took me a while to read, for a couple of reasons. 1) I have been a little busy lately, and 2) the book is a bit challenging. There are no chapters in it, but instead three parts. The writing style can seem to ramble some, so its easy to get a little bored sometimes. Otherwise, the book was enjoyable. I like how Montag seemed to unfold and bloom from book burner to book keeper.
I would recommend it to anyone who asked. Its a deserving classic for its ability to challenge and entertain.

What this blog is about...
So I decided to start a blog about the books I read.
This is not only to help me keep track of what I read, when, how long, and how many books I read over a certain time period... But also as a tool for others to use when they are trying to decide what to read.
Just hoping to share some good books, and maybe help people decide on what they will read next.
Enjoy! ^-^
